ABOUT THE PROJECT
AkitaBox is a software company that helps companies manage their facility assets and maintenance schedules. I designed this UI to show building data and activity in useful stats and charts. The purpose of this design was to give users a quick, understandable view of how efficient their company is with their maintenance process and quickly identify any areas of improvement. The project started because we got a lot of feedback from users wanting to see stats and usage charts. We wanted this interface to be customizable for the many different types of users we have, so it had to be configurable it for all types of needs. The main challenge I came across was trying to organize many different groups of data and options in one simplistic interface. After a few iterations, we had the chance to test this interface with a few power-users and received useful feedback that I incorporated into the designs. This feature turned out to be a successful and important addition for us and our customers.
